Edwin Koot has been active in the Solar Energy business since 1994. Through his own companies Ekomation and Easysolar Edwin built up a lot of practical knowledge about the Dutch national situation and the international solar energy market. With the foundation of his company Solarplaza in 2004, Edwin started building a broad information platform focused on the international solar energy market and the expansion of his large network of contacts and relations. By organizing international conferences and trade missions to production facilities; publishing in-depth market reports and supporting businesses in finding valuable contacts, Solarplaza has positioned itself as an important player in the PV industry.
A well-respected technology expert and business leader, Henning Wicht has performed numerous syndicated and custom research assignments in microelectronics and photovoltaics. He was the founder and president of WTC - Wicht Technologie Consulting, acquired by iSuppli in April 2008. At IHS Solar, Henning is responsible for directing the photovoltaics (PV) service. Henning has been involved in the marketing of microsystem technology and electronics since 1993 when he joined CEA-LETI. In 1996, he was tasked with establishing CEA Germany. Wicht’s skills range from strategic analysis and planning to device and application market forecasting. Aside from working with hundreds of companies and institutes, his market forecast expertise is also sought by country-based and European-based working groups. His expertise includes PV raw materials, cell and module production, and systems. His latest research includes raw materials and systems supply/demand analysis, return-on-investment for installations, PV pricing and costing, supplier assessment, and global and regional evaluations.
Imtiaz Mahtab is Executive Vice President of Air Liquide Middle East and North Africa Electronics, and executive member of its MENA management team. Imtiaz has over 17 years of senior leadership roles internationally in developing, managing as well as restructuring businesses – in mainly Energy and High Technology sectors. He is also on the advisory board of various Renewable Energy and High Technology startups in the region. Imtiaz has been actively involved over the last two years in the MENA region with the development of the Solar sector, and has been working very closely with various stakeholders (Regulators, Investors, OEMs, EPC, University, R&D..) in the region to forward the cause for Solar. As an expatriate executive, he has lived and worked in various countries in America, Europe, Asia/Pacific & the Middle East. Imtiaz is a graduate of Harvard Business School, and has a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas, Austin in the USA. He is currently based out of Dubai.
Arturo Herero is the Chief Strategy Officer and Head of Emerging Markets for JinkoSolar. Prior to that, he held the position of Chief Marketing Officer for over 2,5 years. Herrero manages five teams, including Global Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Planning and Customer Service.

Tamer Shahin - Solar Technology Engineer, KAUST
Tamer Shahin is the Solar Technology Engineer at the Technology Application and Advancement Group (TAAG) in KAUST where he currently is responsible for solar technologies development, deployment and evaluation in collaboration with industry partners. Tamer manages the New Energy Oasis (NEO) at KAUST, an outdoor testing and development area for solar and clean energy technologies. Prior to KAUST, Tamer worked as a Mechanical Design Engineer at the New Energy Center in National Taiwan University, designing solar thermoelectric collectors and innovative LED lighting fixtures. Tamer holds a BS in Mechatronics Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology, and a MS in Mechanical Engineering in Design, Dynamics, and Control, from KAUST with emphasis on solar technologies.
